People are Talking
The loop around Belle Isle was nice. I hadn't been there in 30 years... It was neat running over the Belle Isle bridge and seeing the Ambassador Bridge in the distance, knowing you had run across it only a short time ago."-
"As we entered Indian Village and Mile 21, I still felt good.... Where was 'the wall'??? ... At that point I knew nothing was going to stop me. The last 3 miles were almost euphoric. There may have been pain, but I can't remember. Running the last 1 mile though Greek town to Ford Field through a corridor of cheering people was exhilarating. I crossed the finish line running strong and feeling a great sense of accomplishment."
"I had a great time, talked to a lot of people as I was running and enjoyed the whole experience."

It was really fun for me. It seemed like all of the people were the ground. I could hardly see the ground because there were so many people. It seemed like I didn't really run a lot (5K at 9 years old) because there were tons of people. You looked at all of the places and you couldn't tell that you were running 3 miles. I did this because I thought it was fun, and it was fun. And I did it because I had the strength of God. I ran the 5K for BGMC. It made me feel like I can do it again next year. If there is something else hard for me to do, I believe that I can do it, because I already did a really hard thing!"

"…There has never in my life been an activity of such massive proportions that I can actually say I had a part in it!"
"I admire each and every participant for what they did in this Marathon. Do they even know how great a deed they have done? Are they aware they walked with people from other countries in some kind of camaraderie?"
"These memories will stay with me forever. I enjoyed myself immensely."
