Charity Leaders
Marathon Mission© provides an avenue for ambitious people to raise funds for non-profit organizations. One person can raise $1000 to $10,000 via their walking or running efforts with Marathon Mission’s help. Imagine what a team of participants can do for your organization.
Founder Lisa Harper is available for speaking engagements or conference calls to tell perspective participants how they can make a difference. As a motivational speaker and author of Living and Loving - The Marathon of Life, Lisa is sure to light a fire with your team.
To annually register your organization with the Marathon Mission Team, Complete the Charity Agreement Form (National Charity Agreement or Detroit Charity Agreement) when you have decided to make a financial impact in your organization. Marathon Mission will highlight your charity's name and charity's website. Mail form and check for $35 (the only money MM will ask for) to Marathon Mission, at P.O. Box 87265, Canton, MI 48187.
Choose your team leader/leaders. This person will be the main contact liaison between Marathon Mission and your team.
You or your team leader can use the Promotional Packet in digital format on this MM website. This packet will provide instructions and fundraising forms needed to begin the process.
Recruit for the 5K, or longer distances! Participants will need to register with the specific races directly, such as the Detroit Free Press Marathon (October, Detroit) and FCA Big Ticket Run for the One (June, Allegan, MI), and Ludington Lake Stide (June, Ludington, Mi) When registering for your race online, BE SURE you acknowledge you are participating with the Marathon Mission Team whenever possible. Keep a log of the people participating for your team. Keep in mind that the longer you wait to register the more the price goes up; early registration is the key!
You or your team leader can acquire the Promotional Packet in digital format from the Forms section of this website. This packet will provide instructions and fundraising forms needed to begin the process.

Encourage your team to join us on Facebook.
Matching Marathon Mission Tee shirts are a key element! When worn on race day, they set the pace for all participants. We are reminded that we are a team with a goal to help make a difference in the world around us. Besides, they’re easy for our camera crew to spot in the crowd! The MM tees will be available for online ordering at www.marathonmission.net.
Your organization or Team Leader may consider supplying transportation, come the day of the race. We have found this to be very helpful to some of the participating groups.
After the Finish Line your team will come to our Marathon Mission Check-in point. Here they will get their official Marathon Mission Certificate of Completion! Moreover it’s a great location to regroup your team before departing from the race area.
If possible have each participant, as well as yourself, should complete a questionnaire. This is the best way we have to improve the Marathon Mission experience. Questionnaires are available in your Participants and Team Leader's Packets online. Please mail them to our MM Canton address within one week after the race. Thank you.
